Mother's Day Special at Rai Rai Ken

It was Mother’s day when me and my mom celebrated this once in a year special occasion, and I’m really glad that she enjoys it just as much as I did (you will see later how I knew without her telling!)

Introducing Rai Rai Ken's Menu!

Back then the place was so crowded that there is a long queue in every food chain and restaurant we came across.  After the long walk, we end up in a Japanese restaurant which is Rai rai ken.  The place is nice with a homey feeling and we were greeted by a waitress who assists and accompany us to a table for two.

California Maki by 10's with Mayonnaise
We then check for the menu and I noticed that there are varieties of Japanese cuisine from ramen, rice, bento selection, sushi bar and more. We ordered for California Maki by 10’s, Gomoku Chan Platter, Kani Corn Soup and drinks (Pineapple and Iced Tea).

We ordered for Gomoku Chahan Platter (consist of fried rice, spring onions, seafood’s squid, shrimp and more) not just for the reason we like eating rice in the afternoon, but also me and my mom love seafood.

Kani Crab and Corn Soup
California Maki I love the rice they used not too thick or too soft the texture is just fine.  And I really like the combination of mango, cucumber, and seaweeds.  What I just don’t appreciate is the mayonnaise I prefer a simple California maki.

Kani Corn Soup the mixture of corn, egg, crabstick, spring onion, shiitake mushroom and I don’t know what other ingredients they include.  But one thing, I enjoy eating it along with the soft texture of eggs and crabstick.

The Happy Face!

During the heavy meal you can see in the image on the left how my mom enjoys her meal so much, and you can see a thousand words right? Being a heavy eater and food lover I think I know to whom I inherit it!

There are still a lot to choose from Rai rai ken I just don’t know how to eat them all in one single order! I would love to try their ramen, sushi and bento the next time I visit it. For now this is all what I can say based on my experience in this Japanese restaurant. It’s a must to try!

Late Lunchdate at Kenny Rogers with my Papz

One late afternoon at Robinson Galleria me and my father dine in at Kenny Rogers.  There are only few people eating at the said food chain, but that's fine with me since I don't really like crowded places much specially when I'm hungry and I have to wait in line just to place and get my order after more than 20 minutes or half an hour.
Kenny Roger's Menu

We check on the menu and there are a lot to choose from from chicken to pasta, salad, muffins, side dish, desserts, drinks and more.

Classic Healthy Plate
I decided to order for Classic Healthy Plate which include a piece of roasted chicken, vegetable salad, fruit salad and corn muffin for P185 while my papz order for High Fiber Meal which include 1/4 roasted chicken, fruits and vegetable salad and corn on the cob for also P185.  We added 3 side dish (steamed vegetables, macaroni and cheese, chicken macaroni) and 1 extra corn muffin for my father.  After I mentioned all of the orders we have back then I realize that we ordered too many and I think that is the reason why I feel so full after we eat even though there is no rice!

High Fiber Meal
I really enjoy eating their side dish specially the steamed vegetable salad the texture of their vegetable is half cook and I love it that way.  Cheese and chicken macaroni is also good including the vegetable and fruit salad, the only thing that I did not enjoy eating was their chicken maybe I'm not used to roasted chicken and I was expecting it will be more juicy and tender.  But aside from that everything is good.

Side Dish and Corn Muffin
My papz also enjoy eating his choice of food and he told me that Kenny's muffin's sweetness and texture is just fine.

Kenny Roger's meals are healthy and the price is just right.  If you are looking for a healthy and will easily make your stomach full for an affordable price you should try this one. I'll be back one of this day with a friend and for sure she'll love it.

Fridate with my Aunt in World Chicken Glorietta 4

Me and my aunt had a date last friday and she ask me what to eat. Since it was friday most of the restaurant and fast food chains are full. Honestly I really don't know what to eat since my tummy is still full of nachos of Nacho King, but when she say "do you like world chicken?" I suddenly feel hungry and though the queue is long we still proceed (just the thought of eating my favorite pesto pasta, garlic bread and the chicken that's heaven!). My auntie ordered Jerk Chicken with tarragon sauce, spaghetti pomodoro and veggies while mine is Pesto Pasta, jerk chicken with brown gravy, garlic bread and iced tea (thank you so much aunt!)

Spaghetti Pomodo with Chicken and Veggies

I remember the first time I had the chance to taste this promising food. A co-worker of mine introduce it to me way back in 2009, she ask me if I want to order food since it's almost lunch time. I ask her what kind of food and she said it's pasta with chicken.  In normal days I prefer eating rice in the afternoon, but when I saw the menu I order for pesto pasta and back then I choose farm fresh mushroom sauce for my chicken.  And when I taste it I told to myself that this will be an additional to my favorite list.  But of course, I will be creative and try to mix sidings and sauce to my satisfaction.

Pesto Pasta with Chicken and Garlic Bread

For the first timer if you would like to try World Chicken you can create your own platter from serving 1 siding or two, sauce, pasta, beverages and more. I have my very own all time favorite siding - pesto pasta and for my chicken I like tarragon sauce (but I will try the other sauce when I have the chance). I haven't tried their VIP menu yet, but Chicken Teriyaki platter and Jerk Chicken treat looks promising with java rice and selection of special sauces and other sidings.  The price is ranging from P50 - P200 only.
